    Taking a look back at where we have been helps us appreciate where we are and encourages us to keep progressing forward. ECMMA publications have an interesting history that records the dedicated work of many individuals with heart and vision for our organization. Each contributor would have stories to tell of their labor of love.

    In the summer of 1986, at our first convention in Winston Salem, North Carolina, the founding board members appointed Charmaine Cave as editor of our first publication, Kindermusik Teachers Association News. During our second biennial convention in Princeton, New Jersey in 1988, our publication became The Path with Gailanne Hubbard as editor. In 1990, at the following convention held in Estes Park, Colorado, Martha Hallquist was selected to be the new editor of The Path.
