Introduction
Music and young children have been studied extensively from a variety of research paradigms. Researchers’ use of observation tools in qualitative studies offers us a clear idea of how children behave musically, mainly in Western educational settings. Moorhead and Pond (1942/1978) published the first study of this kind almost 70 years ago.
