    In her recent address to the 2014 Early Childhood Music & Movement Association’s International Convention (Jordan-DeCarbo, 2014), Dr. Joyce Jordan- DeCarbo pointed out that many children do not receive quality music instruction. She stated:

    ...we’ve reached many families who paid for music opportunities. We can be proud of our accomplishments, but the quest remains – how do we reach the rest? That is the challenge for all of us...My hope for the future of early childhood music education is to try and find a way to address this important need. (p. 10)
