    Personally, I awaited Dr. Linkins’ book about my mentor, Lorna Lutz Heyge, with great anticipation. Over the years I have studied and worked under Dr. Heyge. Her vision and lifelong labor influences my daily teaching, reading and writing. My anticipation was not disappointed.

    As a beginning teacher, I had come across Dr. Heyge’s original Kindermusik publication in 1983. This methodology was unique at the time, and I was attracted to it because it would allow me to teach at home and care for my own young children.
